Learning and Development
All of our staff receive a thorough induction training programme, with training delivered in a classroom setting and as e-learning. This is followed-up with on-going in-service training and support with a view to achieving a qualification.
You do not need to have an existing qualification in social care to work for Community Lives.
We provide support to our support staff so that they may achieve a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care. With higher levels of qualification available for staff who move into managerial roles.
We have several in-house trainers who deliver classroom training, and a comprehensive training curriculum.
We work closely with Gower College Swansea who deliver qualifications in Health & Social Care to our staff.
We use Moodle for our online learning platform.
Our aim is to provide our staff with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to adequately perform or enhance their role or job.
As well as providing support for ongoing personal and professional development. With a view to incorporating an employee's personal career and development aspirations.
