About Us

Founded in 1989, we are a non-profit making organisation that supports disabled people to live the lives that they choose in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot in South Wales.

Most of our support is commissioned by City and County of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and we are regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

In our most recent inspection in February 2026, CIW rated us Excellent in Wellbeing, Care & Support and Leadership & Management for our supported living services. Click here to see the latest inspection reports and our annual returns.

We work with people so that they can have lives which as far as possible are social, local and in their own control.

To do this we offer help and support focused on:

Being healthy and safe in their home and in their lives

Having support to develop skills to improve their life and the people they care about

Developing confidence and skills whether this means finding work, or taking responsibility in their life or within the community

Enjoying their home and managing their money or tenancy

Maximising independence and overcoming the barriers that are encountered along the way

We believe to provide excellent support we must do three things:

1. Pay attention to what matters

We are focused on working with the people we support and their family members in understanding what matters to them. We then plan and arrange the support that is wanted and needed, and check carefully whether this is working.

2. Focus on relationships

We have very long term relationships with most of the people that we support, our Support staff and managers have spent many years alongside these individuals.

It is better caring for people when you have a good relationship and in all relationships things need working on, and we understand this and will work very hard to put things right when they need to improve.

3. Organise together

As a company almost half our shareholders are people we support or family members, these people elect members to sit on our Board.

The people we support check on the quality of our service, and organise a wide range of events and activities that they want.

We are transforming from an organisation that delivers social care to a ‘company’ of people working together to make their lives better.
